Vintage Notes 2021
Was a cool and rainy season, lots of problems with downy mildew and black rot, compare yield with other years, had to buy quite a lot of fruit from other organic producers that were less affected. Still not the flood disaster of neighbouring regions.
Pinot Noir didn’t do very well so there’s no Little Red Riding Pinot Noir this year and the Pinot Noir was blended in with about 20% Madeleine to make Kiss Kiss 2021.
Yield hl/ha: 30
Harvested: end September
Bottles produced: 6500
Date bottled: early November
Alcohol %: 11

Tasting: super cloudy appearance somewhere between red and muddy brown, strangely attractive, not much colour because not much sunlight this year. Plum and cherry aromas and some forest floor, a vibrant palate, more lively than nose suggests, great acidity but not aggressive, plenty of salty, spicy, cinnamon, red and black berry fruit.
Vintage Notes 2022
Hot and dry year, with quite a bit of rain in September and October cutting into the harvest and giving much needed juice to the grapes. 75% Pinot Noir.

Tasting: 2022-12-12 very fresh, light, high toned red berry and cherry fruit and garden herbs, very lively, frothy, fun fruit character, a return to style of 2020 after the dark tones of 2021.
