About: One of four micro-production single vineyard plots of pure Garnacha made in 2017 aged in barrique, then aged 2 years in bottle before release, just 300b each.

Farming: Organically grown. No pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, or chemical fertilizer No use of copper or sulphur. No ploughing. All plants, grasses, flowers allowed to grow. The climate means diseases like mildew don’t take hold. The vineyards are alive with biodiversity of flora, fauna and microbial life, grasses and flowers are allowed to live and flourish, with only those around the vine cut back. This protects the topsoil from erosion from wind and rain (if any) and evaporation of moisture.

Hand harvested. De-stemmed and crushed and put in stainless steel. 10 days on skins with one brief gentle punchdown a day just to keep the cap wet. Very gently pressed and moved to an old tinaja for 2 months, then to old oak barrel for six months. No additives whatsoever, no added yeasts, no sulfites, no clarification, no filtration. Corks and closure are also 100% natural. Bottles are lightest on market, recycled.

Tasting: dense and grippy with tons of energy and emotion, complex aromas of smokey, floral, intense dark berry fruits, with white fruits on the long finish. Manages to be cool and airy at the same time. Wears its alcohol lightly because plenty of freshness.
